Chapter 8: Main Landing GearDavid had built and installed the landing gear in the fuselage tub I bought from him. It was inspected by Bully and I at the sale and deemed "fine". I had no qualifications for assessment, so thank goodness for experienced builder/flyers.
I did rebuild the landing brake from scratch as well as the main gear covers. These are covered back in previous Chapter summary. I've only interacted with these components in running the brake lines. We'll see if I have more to do later. I don't plan to do gear fairings or wheel pants until I get though Phase I flight tests and am confident in landings and overall ground handling of the Cozy. |
